Peanut Butter Kaaialii pitches Pearl City past Leilehua 8-4 (4/26/2014)

Tyanna "Peanut Butter" Kaaialii pitched Pearl City past Leilehua 8-4 to finish in fifth place in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Division Varsity Girls Softball Championship Tournament played on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Central Oahu Regional Park (CORP) in Waipio.

Leilehua's Taezha Cordero took the loss for the Lady Mules. Cordero pitched seven complete innings allowing eight runs on ten hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

Kaaialii gave up four runs on eleven hits with three strikeouts, two walks, and a homerun in four complete innings.

Kristin Frost earned a save for the Lady Chargers in three inning of relief. Frost held Leilehua to no runs with four hits and two strikeouts.

Pearl City's win over Leilehua secured a berth in the HHSAA Division I Data House State Softball Championship Tournament scheduled for Tuesday, May 6 through Friday, May 9 at the University of Hawaii's Rainbow Wahine Stadium.
