Pearl City dropped their OIA West D2 Junior Varsity Football season opener to Roosevelt 2-0 on Friday, August 15 at Roosevelt High School’s Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium.

Roosevelt scored the only points of the ball game on a safety with 4:01 left remaining on the clock in the fourth quarter.

Pearl City place kicker Devan-Justin Yoshimura attempted a 43 yard game winning field goal with 1:35 left on the game clock that just missed by inches.
