The Pearl City Chargers opened the 2019 OIA D2 Junior Varsity Football regular season on Friday, August 9 with a 14-6 win over the Kaiser Cougars at Kaiser High School.

With a heavy heart, the defending 2018 OIA D2 Junior Varsity Champions took to the field in honor of their teammate Joshua Amina who passed away on May 9, 2019. The Chargers played with the same intensity and spirit that Joshua exemplified in each game that he played at his defensive back position.

Congratulations Chargers! Joshua will always be with you...
