Tokunaga drives Pearl City past Leilehua 13-3 (3/14/2014)

Pearl City overpowered Leilehua 13-3 in OIA Red Western Divsion Varsity Baseball played at Pearl City High School on Friday, March 14, 2014. The game was called in the bottom of sixth inning after Pearl City went up by 10 runs to force the 10-run mercy rule.

Tanner Tokunaga led the way at the plate for the Chargers hitting 3-3 with two triples, a double, two runs scored, five RBI and one walk.

Pearl City starting pitcher Trestan Nakamura earned the win allowing three runs, one hit, with two strikeouts and three walks in three complete innings for the Chargers.

Sanyo Lo and Dane Kaneshiro worked in relief allowing no runs, one hit, with three strikeouts in three complete inningsfor the Chargers.

Leilehua's starting pitcher Jared Academia took the loss for the Mules allowing six runs, five hits, two strikeouts and two walks in 2 1/3 innings.
