Born and raised in Honolulu, Christine Simmons has been working for Kiewit for nearly 11 years. She attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and joined the Kiewit ohana. She is currently a senior business manager for the project.

Christine began working for Kiewit on the mainland working in the U.S. and Canada on various projects. Construction of the Honolulu rail transit project provided her the opportunity to come home.

Working with Kiewit has allowed me to expand my horizons and work in other parts of the country and also provided me the opportunity to come home and be a part of a historic project for Hawaii’s history,” said Christine.

One of the best things about working in Waipahu and Pearl City for Christine has been to see the incredible progress Kiewit has made on the Honolulu rail project every day and visiting all of the delicious restaurants in the area.

When she is not working, Christine enjoys taking advantage of the great hiking trails in Hawaii and traveling.
