Construction update: Foundation work starts on Kamehameha Highway

In November 2014, Kiewit crews started working on the drilled shafts, or foundations, work near Pearl Highlands.

After taking a break for the holiday season, our crews returned to the area in early February 2015 and are now moving along with the drilled shaft work on Kamehameha Highway by continuing toward the Acacia Road intersection.

Over the next several months, expect to see drills and large pieces of equipment spring up in the area to begin building these foundations. Kiewit will also start building the foundations near Aloha Stadium by the end of February.

For more information on the construction and lane closures happening along Kamehameha Highway, sign up for our weekly updates by emailing KHGupdate@kiewit.com.
