HART Community Day - Sunday, Sept. 25

Move Oahu Forward is pleased to join with the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) to announce a free public viewing of Honolulu Train #1 this Sunday, September 25. 

The public can visit and climb aboard Honolulu's first rail transit cars from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the HART Rail Operations Center in Pearl City. Free parking is available at Leeward Community College, and a shuttle to the train will be provided from the Leeward CC parking lot. 

There will be music, entertainment and prizes at the HART Community Day. HART staff and volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions and provide information and updates about the Honolulu rail project. 

HART Honolulu Train #1 Community Day

  • 11 AM to 3 PM, HART Rail Operations Center
  • Parking at Leeward Community College (96-045 Ala Ike Street, Pearl City)
  • Take a brief entry tour of the state-of-the-art Rail Operations Center
  • Step inside and tour the first high-tech driverless train in the U.S.
  • Learn about the rail project at the Move Oahu Froward Educational Pavilion
  • Receive a printed commemorative train day keepsake (first 2000 persons)
  • Receive special offers from "Shop & Dine on the Line" participating stores, restaurants and services to support local businesses
