Kamehameha Highway Guideway (Pearl City to Aloha Stadium)

Crews have been hard at work this summer completing utility relocations, widening roadways, and preparing for the drilled shaft, or foundation, work throughout Kamehameha Highway. Foundation work was completed this summer between Acacia and Waimano Home Roads, with crews moving between Waimano Home and Kuleana Roads. The first columns along Kamehameha Highway appeared in early August at the Acacia Road intersection, and column work will continue on both Farrington and Kamehameha Highways through the rest of the year.

Kiewit continues to coordinate its operations with other projects along Kamehameha Highway, including the deck widening work along the H-1 Freeway and the sewer project. Meetings are held regularly to discuss ways to better minimize the impacts to residents, businesses, and motorists, in the area.

As work continues, we encourage neighbors in Pearl City and Aiea to remain alert of lane closures and changes, and to please allow for extra time when traveling along Kamehameha Highway.
