I would like to thank 808 Craft & Gift Fairs owner Lauren Ushijima Mori for an amazing event on Sunday at the Pearl City Shopping Center that brought together a group of incredible vendors, our wonderful Pearl City community and their Ohana, and visitors to our community to enjoy May Day 2022 together.

808 Craft & Gift Fairs and the Pearl City Shopping have restarted their partnership after a long break during the COVID-19 pandemic. 808 Craft & Gift Fairs will be held on the first Sunday of each month on two different levels at the Pearl City Shopping Center fronting House of Dragon Restaurant (lower level) and near Bank of Hawaii (top level).

Sunday’s 808 Craft & Gift Fair kicked off a new fundraising project to their monthly events at the Pearl City Shopping Center that offers free tent space to Pearl City Complex Schools and community youth sports programs to help them raise money for school programs, competition travel expenses, etc. as well as for youth sports teams traveling to tournaments on the neighbor islands, mainland, and internationally.

Mahalo to everyone who supported Sunday’s State Champion Hawaii Rush 17 girls team fundraiser that featured ono goodies for sale to help raise money for tournament travel expenses to compete this summer the Regional’s in Idaho.

I had a great time catching up with friends and meeting new friends amongst the vendors and shoppers. I bought a wonderful painting titled “The Guardian of Banzai Pipeline” from North Shore artist Monika Kupiec who featured her beautiful paintings from Monika Kupiec Art. There were so many awesome crafts, specialty products, and food vendors to the delight of shoppers and visitors to the 808 Craft & Gift Fairs at the Pearl City Shopping Center.

Mahalo to Pearl City Shopping Center Maintenance Manager Ken Williams and his staff for helping the event run smoothly from start to finish.

Mahalo Lauren!

Looking forward to June’s 808 Craft & Gift Fair!
