Par Hawaii Revs Up Support for Special Olympics Hawaii

Make a donation during Par Hawaii’s Fueling Dreams campaign at any participating nomnom store starting August 1

Par Hawaii’s Fueling Dreams campaign returns for its second time this year to drive awareness for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes and programs. From August 1 through August 31, 2022, island drivers can make a pit stop at 34 participating nomnom stores across Oahu, Hawaii Island and Maui to make a donation to Special Olympics Hawaii.

“Par Hawaii is proud to support Special Olympics Hawaii and the amazing and important work they do to keep athletes healthy both physically and emotionally,” said Par Hawaii’s Vice President – Retail, Eric Lee. “We are excited for the return of Fueling Dreams and we appreciate the generosity from our customers to help raise funds for Special Olympics Hawaii’s athletes and programs.”

Par Hawaii, marketer of Hele and 76 Hawaii, has been a strong supporter of Special Olympics Hawaii for more than three decades. To date, the Fueling Dreams campaign has raised more than $927,594 for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes and programs. “Par Hawaii continues to go above and beyond for our athletes and this year will increase their impact by holding two separate Fueling Dreams campaigns to raise funds and awareness for our organization,” says Special Olympics Hawaii’s President and CEO, Dan Epstein. “We are extremely grateful for their partnership and their support to fuel the dreams of our athletes and provide life-changing opportunities they might not otherwise experience”

All donations received from the Fueling Dreams campaign allow Special Olympics Hawaii to continue to provide programs and training – both online and in-person – for more than 3,400 youth and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities.

Special Olympics Hawaii provides year-round sports programs and training for athletes with intellectual disabilities, free of charge. Since 1968 Special Olympics has been changing attitudes about the talents of people with intellectual disabilities and raising awareness to build an inclusive and unified community.
