Mahalo to the outstanding community volunteer leadership team representing Mana Loa-Nimitz Lions and Friends who once again volunteered their time, energy, and sweat equity on Saturday to beautify our Pearl City community.

The amazing group of community volunteers came together early Saturday morning to network their resources and take on the overgrown landscaping on Hookiekie Street near Momilani Elementary School and Pearl City High School. The team of volunteers cleared weeds, grass, and picked up rubbish along the Hookiekie Street sidewalk and purple wall.

The Mana Loa-Nimitz Lions Club plays an integralrole each year identifying the needs of Pearl City and neighboring communities with their special community outreach program and activities.

Their efforts serve to unify others to join them in the community while taking pride in their collective efforts that build safe, clean, and happy environments in which to live.
