Walmart Launches Online Grocery Pickup in Hawaii

-Convenient, free drive-up service now available at Kapolei and Pearl City Walmart stores on Oahu -

-Time slots for seniors, first responders and at-risk customers available daily from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.-

Walmart today announced the Hawaii launch of free Online Grocery Pickup at Kapolei and Pearl City Walmart stores. The service is available seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Time slots for seniors, first responders and at-risk customers are available daily from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Kapolei Walmart is located at 91-650 Farrington Hwy., and Pearl City Walmart is located at 1131 Kuala St. 

“We’re excited to launch Online Grocery Pickup for our Hawaii customers,” said Lance McAlister, Hawaii Market Manager for Walmart. “The convenient new option allows customers to shop when, where, and how they want and complements our existing services like Pickup Today, Express Delivery, and our updated app featuring Walmart Pay.”

Busy customers will love Walmart’s pickup option. It gives them the convenience of shopping online and reserving a time slot that fits their schedule, all with the ease of quickly picking up groceries without having to leave their cars. And, there is no fee to use Walmart Grocery Pickup.

Walmart Online Grocery Pickup dedicates a pickup hour for people most at-risk for COVID-19. Each day, the hour from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. is reserved for customers over the age of 60, as well as first responders, customers with disabilities and anyone designated high-risk by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Walmart Online Grocery Pickup is not just for groceries, customers can choose from thousands of items from throughout the store. Simply click on the Pickup & Delivery tab on http://walmart.com or shop through the Walmart app. Customers using SNAP have the option to use Pickup and Express Delivery services [delivery fees apply to Express Delivery] at participating stores. [see Express Delivery locations below] Online Grocery Pickup requires a $35 minimum order.

Walmart continues to help customers in Hawaii save time and money with key innovations including: 

•Pickup Today - Busy customers love Walmart’s free Pickup Today option. It gives them the convenience of shopping online and the ease of quickly picking up items at their local store.  

•Express Delivery – customers now have the option to have their deliveries made in under two hours. This service is currently available at eight Walmart stores in Hawaii including: Hawaii: Hilo and Kailua-Kona; Oahu: Downtown Honolulu/Fort Street Mall, Honolulu/Keeaumoku, Kapolei, Kunia/Waipahu, Mililani, and Pearl City. 

•Walmart Pay – a touch-free way to pay 

•Prescription Refills – If you are age 60 and up, self-quarantining, high-risk, or have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), all Hawaii store pharmacies are offering Pharmacy pickup & delivery services to help you get the medication you need. [Note: Mililani Walmart does not have a pharmacy.]  

-No-Contact Curbside Pickup: We can bring your prescription right out to your car using a no-contact method. 

-Mail Delivery: If you can’t make it to a local store, we'll deliver medication to your door.
