Pearl City Shopping Center Donates Gift Certificates to Three Elementary Schools

The Pearl City Shopping Center Association of Merchants donated PCSC Gift Certificates on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in the amount of $1000.00 dollars to Pearl City Elementary, Manana Elementary and Momilani Elementary. Each school received 10 – $100.00 dollar gift certificates which were presented to the schools Principals and staff by Finance Factors Operations Supervisor and PCSC Association Treasurer, Shawn Taniguchi.

The goal behind the PCSC Gift Certificate donations is to assist Pearl City schools with their needs in these very difficult economic times. The schools have been hit hard with the recent DOE Budget cuts that will directly affect the current 2009-2010 school year as well as 2011. The Pearl City Shopping Center Association of Merchants realized the need and urgency to support our schools as well as to give back to the community that supports their businesses. The PCSC Gift Certificates are redeemable at any Pearl City Shopping Center Merchant.

MyPearlCity.com will return to the schools soon to see how they will utilize and benefit from the PCSC Gift Certificate donations. Next week MyPC Q&A will sit down with Manana Elementary School Principal, Doreen Higa.
