Welcome to MyPearlCity.com and thank you for logging in. This week we were fortunate to present a MyPearlCity.com Q&A Story that featured Momilani Elementary School Principal, Doreen Higa and the terrific job she has done for the past 21 years.

We also had the privilege to sit down with Pearl City Chargers Girls Varsity Volleyball Head Coach, Stephanie Shigemasa to discuss the team’s success so far this season and to look back on her coaching career that started at Pearl City 14 years ago.

Did you know that boxing is alive and well in Pearl City? Former Amateur Boxing Champion, Eiichi Jumawan is the Head Coach and Executive Director for Pearlside Boxing that conducts classes and programs for the community at the Momilani Community Center in Pearl City. Coming up next week we will feature Manana Elementary School’s Na Keiki ‘O Manana Choir under the direction of Music Director, Aaron Paragoso. The Choir began rehearsals this past Thursday (9/10) for their upcoming school year performances.

MyPearlCity.com will also feature the Pearl City Chargers Varsity Riflery Team as they make their way through the 2009 OIA season. The Chargers are coming off a victory against Campbell this past week.

Don’t forget to check out the Pearl City Chargers Junior Varsity & Varsity Football Teams as they travel to Moanalua High School to take on the Menehune on Friday, September 11. JV starts at 5:00pm. Varsity to follow 25 minutes after the end of the JV contest.v
