Junior Varsity: Pearl City 12, Kaiser 31
The Kaiser Cougars came away with a hard earned victory against the Chargers on Friday night. The Cougars led at the half 21-12 and shut out the Chargers on the scoreboard in the second half. Kaiser scored with a TD late in the 3rd Quarter and a field goal to make the final score 31-12.
Pearl City moves on to the OIA White Division play offs scheduled for this weekend. Play off schedule TBA.
Varsity: Pearl City 16, Kaiser 25
The Pearl City Chargers Varsity football team came up a little short against the Cougars Friday night. Interceptions and fumbles plagued the Chargers Offense. Kaiser went in to the half leading 6-0 on two field goals. Kaiser scored 3 times in the 3rd Quarter to lead the Chargers 25-0. Pearl City made a 4th Quarter surge scoring on TD runs by QB Dustin Bataya and Cyrus Coen to close the deficit to 25-16. Pearl City also had an earlier 80 yard kick off return by Cyrus Coen called back due to a blocking penalty.
Pearl City finishes the regular season 3-6 (3-5 OIA White Division).
