Pearl City Shopping Center Donates $1000 Dollars to PCHS Project Graduation

On Thursday, January 7, 2010, PCHS Project Graduation received a $1000 dollar check donation from the Pearl City Shopping Center (PCSC) to help assist in covering fees for PCHS Seniors to participate in the 2010 Project Graduation Night.

PCHS Project Graduation planning committee works hard each year to organize and to secure the funding needed for Project Graduation Night. They are very active in the community throughout the year and most recently participated in the Pearl City High School Holiday Craft Fair and the Pearl City Christmas Parade.

PCHS Project Graduation and the Pearl City Shopping Center merchants have built a very successful fundraising relationship through the years with projects such as; Pizza Hut Nite, McDonald’s McNite, Foodland Give Aloha.

Pearl City Shopping Center owner, Duane Kurisu is very grateful for the support from the  Pearl City community and is committed to giving back by identifying and supporting their needs.  

In 2009, Mr. Kurisu and the Pearl City Shopping Center launched MyPearlCity.com to reach out to the Pearl City Community via the Internet. MyPearlCity.com, “Everything P.C.” serves as the communities, internet media resource.

Mission: To deliver internet content via MyPearlCity.com that directly benefits the Pearl City community.

Pearl City Shopping Center was active in 2009 with donations to selected schools in the Pearl City District Complex. Manana Elementary, Pearl City Elementary and Momilani Elementary each received $1000 dollars worth of Pearl City Shopping Center Gift Certificates. Also, Highlands Intermediate School received a $1000 dollar cash donation in 2009 to help support the schools award winning Robotics program.

The Pearl City Shopping Center's, $1000 dollar donation to PCHS Project Graduation continues the effort to support the Pearl City community in 2010.
