Pearl City Chargers Head Coach, Lionel Villarmia commented on the team’s performance, “This is our first game in almost two and a half weeks because we’re in the White and we had a bye. The rust was off but Nanakuli is always competitive, scrappy.”

“Right now we’re heavy on the Guards with Senior’s Mitch Resurrection and Johnson Chao. Our Point Guard is Nick Villarmia. Our best post right now is Kahana Neal. He’s an all star pitcher, first year that he wants to play basketball, so slowly we’re getting him there,” said coach Villarmia when asked about key players to watch for this season.

The Chargers will try to improve on their 1-0 record later on this week at home, taking on Waialua on Thursday (1/14) and Kalani on Saturday (1/16).
Game time is 15 minutes after the conclusion of the 5:00pm Junior Varsity contest.
