The students showed up at the award presentation on Friday, April 16 under the impression that they had actually placed second overall in the Walk the Walk competition. They had no idea what was to come.

"It has been decided through a cumulative vote that you are going to California for the Walk the Walk National Championships." said Hurley Sales Representative, Leilani Patacchia to the regional winning students from PCHS. "We hope that you will come and become the Hurley National Champions."

PCHS teacher and Walk the Walk advisor, Nikki Takai will now have the challenge to prepare her team of students for the Walk the Walk  National Competition in front of a worldwide audience when they make the trip to Huntington Beach in late July.

"We have a gigantic surfing competition from July 31 through August 8. At the competition we will also have the Walk the Walk Championship on a gigantic stage. The public can also view the competition by logging on to hurley.com," said Patacchia.
