Pearl City residents will have another option to shop for fresh, locally grown produce and other food items when the new Farmer's Open Market opens on the grounds of the Momilani Community Center on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 3pm-7pm.
"The Farmer's Open Market will offer low-cost produce and a variety of good for everyone," said Pearl City Foundation Executive Director, Breene Harimoto. "More importantly, people can enjoy the beauty and openness of the Momilani Community Center with their family, friends, and neighbors."
The Farmer's Open Market will be open for business every Friday to serve the community.

The new Farmer's Open Market at the Momilani Community Center is operated by the Pearl City Foundation and has partnered with Mahiku Farmers Market to offer the Pearl City community a diverse selection of products from local vendors as well as a great opportunity to mingle amongst neighbors.
"Our goal is to make the Momilani Community Center the gathering place of Pearl City," said Harimoto. "We already have a variety of programs that bring thousands of people to the Center every year and we are looking to add more high quality programs."
