The Pearl City Foundation (PCF) held their annual Summer Intersession Program Finale Dinner & Program on Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Momilani Community Center.

The PCF Summer Intersession Program offers children who have completed grades K-6 an opportunity to experience a fun, safe and exciting summer. PCF Group Leaders developed programs for the children that included academics, sports/games, arts/crafts, swimming, cooking and weekly field trips. The Summer Intersession Program ran from Thursday, May 27, 2010 to Friday, July 30, 2010.

"Over the summer it went pretty well. The kids enjoyed themselves," said Jared Yamauchi, dedicated PCF Group Leader. "The kids come back because of the atmosphere, very friendly open atmosphere where they can grow. They enjoy coming back every year to hang out with their friends and have a good experience."

"This is our annual event for all our intersession children and their families to come together in fellowship. It is also our opportunity to thank the parents and children for being part of our PCF Ohana,"  said PCF Executive Director, Breene Harimoto.

"Our board of directors hosts this event and we provide free dinner and the children do a short performance for their families. PCF also presents our annual donations to the 10 Pearl City Schools."

The children got an opportunity to show off their talents Friday night with a short musical performance for their families. Some of the children even got a chance to take over the microphone to say a few words, What was really impressive were the beautiful centerpieces that they created for each table.
