Kanoelani Elementary School PTA Golf Tournament at Waikele Golf Club

This is the 2nd year the Kanoelani Elementary School PTA is sponsoring a Golf Tournament  at the Waikele Golf Club to benefit the Kanoelani Elementary School. Kanoelani Elementary is situated in the Gentry Waipio community and has achieved AYP for 6 consecutive years. Kanoelani Elementary School is a member of  the Pearl City District Complex. Monies raised from the 2010 Kanoelani Elementary School PTA "Drive to The Top" Golf Tournament will go towards purchasing additional computers for the students.

The State of Hawaii Department of Education, beginning this school year (2010-2011), is requiring students to take the Hawaii State Assessment (HSA) on-line. With a student body that averages over 750 students each year, of which little over half are in grade levels required to complete the HSA on-line, more computers are needed to support this.

The school's curriculum also includes students using on-line programs such as KidBiz / TeenBiz, Everyday Math and integrates technology in their everyday classroom instructions.

This year's golf tournament is "Drive to the Top". Join us for a fun day – there will be contests, prizes, lunch and a banquet. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Call today. To register and for more information, call Mislyn Alensonorin, Tournament Chair at: 808-371-1769 or e-mail:
