The Pearl City Shopping Center (PCSC) and Chuck E. Cheese came through for the community today with an invitation to participate in the Annual PCSC Halloween Costume Contest and Parade.

About one-hundred costume contest participants competed in three age brackets; 5 and under, 6-8, 9-12 as well as four categories; Original, Scariest, Parent & Child and Movie Theme.

Chuck E. Cheese opened their doors for the costume contest registration at 8:00am. A line had already began to form fronting the PCSC Chuck E. Cheese location from 7:30am.

Chuck E. Cheese generously donated prizes for first and second place finishers.

"This year, Chuck E. Cheese donated twelve, first place prizes of a family fun pizza pack and that's four drinks, a pizza and twenty-five tokens which is worth $42.00," said Sheri Rolf from Rolf Advertising. " Second place received a fifty token pack which is worth $11.00.

Presenting sponsor, Pearl City Shopping Center also added to the winners prize pack with PCSC gift certificates.

"Each first place prize winner received a $50.00 gift certificate to participating PCSC merchants and the second place prize winner received a $25.00 gift certificate, " Rolf said.

It was a fun event for the kids and their families and a great prelude to Halloween night when they can get in their costumes once again for a night of Trick-or-Treating.

Thanks to Steve the Clown who served as the Master of Ceremonies for the announcement of the winners. Also thanks to the volunteers from the  Pearl City Community Association who helped out with the costume contest registration, judging and scoring tabulation.

A special thanks to the PCSC Merchants and the management of Chuck E. Cheese and also to Sheri Rolf and Irwin Santos for their public relations expertise.

Have a fun and safe Halloween!
