Kirsten Liana led the Farrington Lady Governors on Wednesday to a 52-42 win over the visiting Pearl City Lady Chargers.
The victory over the Chargers (8-6) advanced the Governors (11-2) to a semi final match-up in the 2011 OIA Red Division Championship Tournament on Friday January 14, against Kapolei (13-0) who defeated Roosevelt (6-8) on Wednesday, 41-24. Kapolei will play host to Farrington with tip off set for 6:00pm.
Pearl City drops into the losers bracket in the double elimination format tournament and will host Roosevelt on Friday at 6:00pm.
In the win against the Chargers, Kirsten Liana pumped in 20 points to lead all scorers. Teammate, Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo also had a hot hand dropping in four – 3 point shots.
Pearl City was led in the scoring column by Sabrina Angle who pumped in 17 points with three – 3 pointers. Sabrina's sister, Shawna scored 13 points with one – 3 pointer in the game.
