Last week's rainy weather finally took its toll on the playing surface at Les Murakami Stadium on Saturday forcing the postponement of the HHSAA State DI Baseball Championship game between Moanalua and Pearl City.

The championship game has been rescheduled for Monday (5/9) at 6:00pm. Ticket stubs and parking receipts issued on Saturday will be honored for Monday's  championship game.

On Saturday, the Manoa rain fell consistently on the ball park, leaving the pitching mound and home plate area underwater.

Les Murakami Stadium Manager, Glenn Nakaya and his student grounds crew removed the tarps covering both the pitching mound and home plate at 7:20pm.

Officials and coaches met behind the home plate area at around 7:35pm and decided to postpone the game at around 7:40pm due to the unplayable field conditions.
