The Pearl City Shopping Center (PCSC) Merchants Association kicked off their annual gift certificate donation program to selected Pearl City District Complex Schools with a $1000 donation to Manana Elementary School on Tuesday, July 26, 2011.
Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association Board members, Barry Villamil and Sheri Rolf, presented Manana Elementary School Principal, Bryan Loo and his staff with 10 – $100 PCSC Gift Certificates during a staff luncheon in the school cafeteria.
"We're always appreciative of the Pearl City community, particularly with the Pearl City Shopping Center merchants because we can use the gift certificates for emergency kind of purchases or stuff that we may not be able to use with our regular state funding," said Loo. "Having this kind of flexibility is really appreciated."
Manana Elementary School was the first of four Pearl City District Complex Schools that will each receive a $1000 PCSC gift certificate donation from the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association for the 2011-2012 school year.
Momilani Elementary, Pearl City Elementary and Kanoelani Elementary will also receive a $1000 PCSC gift certificate donation during presentations at their respective schools in the month of August.
