Chargers head to pre-season after solid summer scrimmage series

The Pearl City Chargers Varsity and Junior Varsity football teams just completed a 3 day scrimmage series over the weekend that gave the Chargers coaching staff a good look at their 2011 squads in full pads.

On Thursday, August 4, the Chargers traveled to Waianae for their first scrimmage of summer against the Seariders. The Chargers hosted Farrington in a Junior Varsity match up on Friday, August 5, followed by the Varsity against Damien. The Chargers finished out their scrimmage schedule on the road at Radford on Saturday, August 6.

The Chargers hit the the road on Friday, August 12, for a pre-season match up with OIA West powerhouse Kapolei. JV kicks off at 5pm with the varsity to follow.

Next week, MyPearlCity.com will take a closer look at the Chargers 2011 football program with a one-on-one interview with Varsity Football Head Coach, Kai Kamaka as he prepares his team for the regular season opener on Saturday, August 20 against Anuenue at Kaiser.
