Chargers and Sabers split doubleheader at Campbell High School

The Pearl City Lady Chargers earned a split in Saturday's doubleheader against the Campbell Lady Sabers in OIA Red West Division Junior Varsity Softball played at Campbell High School.

Lady Sabers starting pitcher Nashlynn Anguay led Campbell over Pearl City 11-7 in game one of Saturday's doubleheader.

The Lady Chargers sent Angel Maikui-Jenks to the mound in game two and the freshman pitching sensation came through behind a solid Pearl City defense holding Campbell to one run in a 13-1 win.

Pearl City evened their record at 3-3 in the OIA Red West Division. The Lady Chargers swept Leilehua 4-0, 7-6 to start the season but dropped two games to Mililani 6-4, 5-3 before the doubleheader split with Campbell on Saturday.

Campbell moved to 4-2 in league play.

Pearl City returns home to play Waianae in a doubleheader on Saturday, September 24. Game one first pitch is set for 10:00am.

Nashlynn Anguay earned an 11-7 win for the Lady Sabers over the Lady Chargers in game one of Saturday's doubleheader played at Campbell High School.
