Lady Chargers reach OIA Red Semi’s with doubleheader sweep of Aiea

Congratulations to the Pearl City Lady Chargers (9-3) who earned a berth in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Division Championship Semifinals on Saturday with a season ending doubleheader sweep 8-6, 2-1 of Aiea (7-5) at the Lady Na Ali'i home field.

The Lady Chargers and Lady Na Ali'i entered Saturday's match up tied at 7-3 in the league play behind first place Mililani. Both teams needed a doubleheader sweep to advance to the OIA Red Division Semifinals as the OIA Red West #2 seed.

OIA Red East #1 and #2 seeds TBA.

Pearl City's Anuhea Lindsey-Rapoza earned the 8-6 victory over Aiea in the first game and Lady Chargers ace Angel Maikui-Jenks picked up a 2-1 win in game two of the doubleheader.

The OIA Red Division Semifinals and Championship will be played on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15. Locations TBA.
