The 2011 Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Western Conference Girls Volleyball All Stars were announced this week with 6 Pearl City Lady Chargers receiving honors for their outstanding play and contributions during the 2011 season.
Courtney Mersberg (Jr.) and Brandee -Gail Chun (Sr.) were both named to the Second Team.
Kacie Chinen (Jr.), Sade Green (Sr.), Chelsea Robinion (Sr.) and Taylor Inong (Jr.) made Honorable Mention.
The Lady Chargers all star selections led their team to a regular season 7-3 record and a second place finish in the OIA Red Western Conference. The Lady Chargers also earned a first round birth in the HHSAA State Girls Volleyball Championships.
First year Pearl City head coach, Kory Toyozaki guided her Lady Chargers to a 8-8 overall record.
