Pearl City finishes 5th at OIA Cheerleading Championships

The Pearl City Chargers varsity and junior varsity cheerleading teams competed in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Competitive Cheerleading Championships held at Kalani High School on Saturday, November 26, 2011.

The varsity squad had the best finish for the Chargers in the championship placing in 5th place in their division. The Mililani Trojans defeated defending OIA champion Moanalua Na Menehune for the title.

Here's how the top 5 finished in the varsity competition:

1. Mililani – 310
2. Moanalua – 281.5
3. Radford – 277
4. Leilehua – 244.5
5. Pearl City – 236.5

Congratulations to the Pearl City Chargers for a strong performance at the OIA Championships.

The HHSAA State Cheerleading Championships will be held on December 4, 2011 at Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawaii.
