Happy Easter Egg Hunting at Waiau District Park

Mar 31, 2012 | PC Community

The Pearl City community and their ohana turned out in numbers on Saturday to participate in the Annual Waiau Easter Egg Hunt held at Waiau District Park. Keiki ages 1-8 hunted for lucky number Easter eggs and a chance to win great prizes.

The first age group made it out onto the Waiau District Park basketball court at around 8:30am with their Easter baskets in hand to hunt for a total of three eggs.

Pearl City Aquatics Club members along with volunteers from the Pearl City High School Chargers Water Polo Team assisted in making sure everyone picked up  three eggs. The kids were directed over to the prize tent area where they waited to hear if their lucky egg numbers would be called. Everyone who participated received a special Easter basket to take home that was generously donated by the event sponsors.

The Annual Waiau Easter Egg Hunt is presented by the Honolulu City & County Department of Parks and Recreation and supported by community organizations and volunteers.

Mahalo to the Pearl City Aquatics Club, Coach Ken Suenaga and the Pearl City High School Chargers Girls Water Polo Team, Waiau Seniors Club, Mana Loa-Nimitz Lions Club and other organizations and volunteers for their help and support.

Also, mahalo to the many event sponsors for their generosity!

Have a safe and Happy Easter!
