Waipahu ends Pearl City’s shot at an OIA Championship with 2-0 sweep

Waipahu ended Pearl City's chance for an OIA championship last night with a 25-23, 25-17 two set victory in the losers bracket of the OIA Red Division Varsity Boys Volleyball Playoffs at McKinley High School.

Pearl City (10-4) will play Leilehua (10-3) this afternoon for 5th place in the OIA Red Championship Tournament. First serve is set for 3:30pm at McKinley High School. Both teams have already qualified for the HHSAA State Tournament scheduled for May 2-5. They will represent the OIA Red Division in the state tournament as the  #5 and #6 finishers in the OIA championship tournament. 

Waipahu (11-2) continues on in the double elimination tournament and will face Kaiser (10-5) following the Pearl City vs. Leilehua match up.
