PCSC Merchants Association reaches out to Waipahu High School with monetary donation

The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association reached out to neighboring Waipahu High School on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 with a $150.00 donation in support of the school's L.E.G.A.C.Y. – Leadership, Encouragement, Guidance, Alumni Camp for You.

"The mission of this year's camp is to awaken the passion of L.E.G.A.C.Y. amongst campers by encouraging them to build a foundation of strong leadership characteristics that will guide them through life. Out of this camp will emerge the spirit of a leader."  …. Waipahu High School L.E.G.A.C.Y. co-chair committees

The monetary donation was presented to the Waipahu High School Student Council. "Each of our grade level councils participate in the LEGACY leadership camp," said Student Activities Director, Joy Takara.

Wednesday's Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association donation will help L.E.G.A.C.Y. volunteers execute daily activities during this year's camp that runs from July 20-22.

The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association is grateful for the opportunity to provide for today's students as they find the inspiration to lead us into tomorrow.
