Momilani Elementary School celebrates family fun night

Momilani Elementary School held their Annual Family Fun Night on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Pearl City High School cafeteria. The PCHS school cafeteria and surrounding school grounds was transformed into a fun filled venue for Momilani Elementary School students and their ohana to enjoy.

Food booths, game booths, craft booths, demonstration booths, a keiki silent auction, door prizes, and great gifts for Mother's Day kept everyone busy from 5:00pm – 8:30pm.

One the most popular game booths was the Balloon Burst manned by Boy Scout Troop 75. Students got an opportunity to throw three balls to soak their favorite teacher if they hit the target. Teachers that went home wet: Mr. Yuen, Mr. Aurio, Ms. Hasegawa, Mr. Kashiwa, Mr. Tashiro, and Mr. Nieva.

Momilani Elementary School Taiko Drum performers impressed the crowd as students from K-6 showed off their Taiko Drum skills. Momilani Hula students also performed a few beautiful numbers under the direction of Kupuna Mynerva Pang.

Chris da Clown also entertained the crowd throughout the evening.

Here are some of the ono food booths that kept everyone well fed:

Tanioka's Bentos / Musubis, Papa Johns Pizza, Jamba Juice, Na' Ono Grilled Corn, KFC Waffle Dogs, Cherry on Top, Paradise Kettle Corn.

Mahalo to Lance Morita for the invitation to attend Friday night's family fun night and also for the ono bento and VIP parking stall (much appreciated).
