The Pearl City Chargers 2012 OIA White Division football pre season and regular season schedules were released by the Chargers athletic department on Monday.
The Chargers will kick off the pre season with a match up against OIA Red Division powerhouse Kapolei at home on August 10, 2012. Pearl City will host Radford in the Chargers regular season opener on Saturday, August 18, 2012.
Chargers first year head coach David Hallums is currently getting a good look at his skills position players during the summer as they participate in 7 on 7 Pass League Tournament competition.
The Chargers are coming off a school record setting 2011 season for both the varsity and junior varsity programs. The varsity team, behind former head coach Kai Kamaka, captured the OIA White Division regular season title with a perfect 8-0 record. The Chargers lost to Waipahu in the OIA White Division Championship 9-7.
Former junior varsity head coach Guy Paredes led his team to an undefeated season while capturing the OIA White Division regular season and OIA White Division Championships.
