Honolulu City Councilmember Breene Harimoto, who represents District 8 which includes Moanalua, Aiea, Pearl City & Waipahu, will hold a community meeting on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 to answer questions from residents with regard to the rail project that will be traveling through their neighborhoods when completed. The rail meeting will be held at Waiau District Park from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

Councilmember Harimoto recently held community rail meetings at Alvah Scott Elementary School on July 17 and at Waipahu High School on July 18. Dan Grabauskas, HART CEO joined Counclimember Harimoto to answer questions, receive feedback, and share information with residents in attendance.

"Community members who attended the Aiea and Waipahu meetings had good informal discussions with us," said Councilmember Harimoto. "There were no presentations, no displays, no fluff. We just sat around the table and talked. Dan Grabauskas, HART CEO, and I answered residents' questions and shared information about their concerns. This is your opportunity to get your questions answered and to share your concerns with us. Dan will be at the Pearl City meeting on July 31 so I hope to see you there."

What’s Your Question?

* When will the rail be in operation?

* How much will it cost?

* When do we receive the Federal Funds?

* Will there be enough seats?

A Rail Question & Answer Meeting with Councilmember Breene Harimoto and HART CEO, Dan Grabauskas, July 31st at Waiau District Park, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
