Organizers of Sunday's Palisades Annual Family Fun Day held at the Palisades Community Center in Pearl City offered a great venue and opportunity for residents to get out and enjoy the day right in their own neighborhood.

The Palisades Annual Family Fun Day, which was sponsored by the Pacific Palisades Community Association and presented by BLEIZN FX Productions, featured craft and product booths, swap meet, food booths, shave ice, ono snacks, and an awesome collection of Hot Rods and Classic Cars.

Probably the "coolest" thing to check out on Sunday was Carl Winegardner's  engine block that also served as a cooler complete with ice and cold beverages.

"This is a 350 mock-up engine," said Winegardner. "When a builder builds a car he uses this. The whole thing only ways eleven pounds with exception for the drinks and ice. It has all the fittings that you can bolt all your normal things up to it, your headers, your valve covers, so you can see all your clearances and stuff."

When asked which is his favorite beverage to chill in his engine block cooler? Winegardner responded, "Red Bull."

Mahalo to the Pacific Palisades Community Association and BLEIZN FX Productions for another well organized and entertaining Palisades Family Fun Day.
