The Honolulu Rose Society shared their growing and thriving UH Pearl City Urban Garden Center Rose Garden to visitors on Sunday, September 23, 2012 as the UGC celebrated the dedication of the new Peace Garden and pathway.

Sunday's dedication was also in celebration of the United Nations International Day of Peace. Peace Day Hawaii "Uniting with Aloha" was the theme for peace seekers here n the islands.

Honolulu Rose Society members led by HRS President Myrna Cariaga were excited to present to visitors on Sunday the recently completed garden pergola that sits along the Peace Garden pathway and entrance to the rose garden.

HRS members pruned the rose plants earlier in the month resulting in an awesome display of blooming, bursting with color roses, from the many varieties that call the rose garden home.

Mahalo to the HRS and the many volunteers that make the UH Pearl City Urban Garden Center Rose Garden a success and a place of peace for all to experience and enjoy.
