Traffic on Komo Mai Drive coming in and out of Pacific Palisades in Pearl City was down to one lane this morning due to an accident last night that knocked down a power pole near the entrance to The Children's House.
Authorities report that a single car ran into the pole at around 9:30pm. The accident dropped the pole and live power lines in the middle of Komo Drive about a hundred yards from the school.
As of 7:30am this morning, Hawaiian Electric Company works crews were still on the scene repairing the power pole and lines. HPD traffic detail officers were also in the area directing traffic through the single lane access on Komo Mai Drive.
