Pearl City takes down Castle 2-0 to advance to OIA championship tourney quarterfinals

Pearl City felt right at home last night as the Chargers took down the Castle Knights 2-0 in the first round of the 2013 OIA Red Division Boys Soccer Championship Play-offs at Pearl City High Schools Edwin "Bino" Neves Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Pearl City's Derek Chang and Ryan Nakano each scored late second half goals to lead the Chargers.

Pearl City (W3) advances to tonight's Quarterfinals against Moanalua (W2) at Kapolei High School at 5:30pm.

Kaiser (E4) will play Kapolei (W1) at 7:00pm in the night cap. Kaiser defeated Aiea (W5) 4-1 last night at Pearl City High School to advance.

First Round action @ Kahuku High School

Kahuku 2  Radford 1

Kahuku (E3) will match up with Mililani (W2) tonight at 5:30pm at Kaiser High School Field.

Campbell 4  Kailua 3

Campbell (W4) moves on to play Kalani (E1) tonight at 7:00pm in the second game of the doubleheader at Kaiser High School Field.
