The Pearl City Shopping Center celebrated the Chinese New Year on Friday with a traditional lion dance blessing performed by the Lung Kong Physical Cultural Club.

The traditional lion dance started near Dave's Ice Cream at 5:30pm and ended at the House of Dragon Chop Suey Restaurant at around 7:00pm. Two Lung Kong Physical Cultural Club lions covered both the makai and mauka ends of the shopping center.

Several Pearl City Shopping Center merchants opened their doors to welcome and ask for blessings of good luck from the Lung Kong Physical Cultural Club lion.

Pearl City Shopping Center patrons also presented offerings to the Lung Kong Physical Cultural Club lions in return for good luck in the New Year.
