Mar 24, 2013 | PC Community

The Department of Parks and Recreation from the City and County of Honolulu held the 25th Annual Waiau Easter Egg Hunt at Waiau District Park in Pearl City on Saturday, March 23, 2013.

Keiki from 1-8 yrs. old hunted for lucky numbered Easter eggs for a chance to win terrific prizes that were generously donated and prepared by event sponsors and community volunteers. Each keiki who participated went home with a special treat.

Volunteers from Pearl City Aquatics, Inc. and the Waiau Seniors Club coordinated the event that ran smoothly from start to finish.

Pearl City Chargers Swimming and Water Polo Head Coach Ken Suenaga, along with members representing his girl's varsity water polo team, helped hand out prizes and also worked the keiki fish pond.

With Easter Sunday just a week away, Saturday's Waiau Easter Egg Hunt was a great opportunity to spend time with the ohana and our Pearl City neighbors while enjoying the spirit and special meaning that Easter brings to all of us.

Mahalo to all the of those that came together to make the 25th Annual Waiau Easter Egg Hunt at Waiau District Park a very special day for the residents of our Pearl City community.

Have a Happy Easter!
