Capital Improvement Project (CIP) funds awarded to our District!

The administration of Governor Neil Abercrombie has awarded Highlands and Waiau Elementary schools funds for Capital Improvement Projects, as part of the New Day Work Projects initiative to stimulate economic activity and improve our communities.

  • Highlands Elementary – $100,000 for Age Appropriate Play Equipment, Accessible Route and Surfacing
  • Waiau Elementary – $1,200,000 for Electrical Upgrades

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Two left lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the
Waiawa Road Overpass and the Pearl Ridge/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10)
for viaduct deck repairs.

Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between the H-201 Moanalua
Freeway and Kaonohi Street for road repairs.

Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3
8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kamehameha Highway right-turn pocket onto Center Drive in the eastbound direction will be closed on for road installations. Right-turns will still be permitted from Kamehameha Highway.

Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3
8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the eastbound direction between Lehua
Avenue/Waimano Home Road and the H-1 Freeway Overpass for median repairs.

Wednesday, May 1, through Friday, May 3
8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Right lane closure in the westbound direction on Farrington Highway between Old Fort
Weaver Road and Leokane Street for utility inspections.

Monday night, April 29, through Thursday, May 2
7 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly

Three left lanes will be closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between
the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) for
viaduct deck repairs.
