Kaneohe eliminates Pearl City 9-2 from State Little League 10-11 Championship Tournament

Kaneohe moved on in the 2013 Hawaii State Little League 10-11 Championship Tournament with a 9-2 win over Pearl City on Monday, July 15 at Norman Aweau Field in Kailua.

Javyn Pimental earned the win for Kaneohe tossing 4 2/3 innings and allowing one run. Landen Hakkei worked 1 1/3 innings alllowing one run in relief.

Blaise Torres, Brandon Sarae and Koamana Rosa pitched for Pearl City.

Pearl City found themselves down 4-0 after two complete innings before scoring single runs in the top of fourth and fifth innings. Kaneohe stormed back in the bottom of the fifth inning scoring five runs on six hits to take a 9-2 lead. Hakkei shut down Pearl City in the top of the sixth inning for the save.

Kaneohe (3-1) moves on to the next round in the double elimination championship tournament and will play at 4:00pm this afternoon. Opponent TBA.

Pearl City (2-2) was eliminated from the championship tournament.
