The Pearl City Lions Club coordinated and executed Phase I on Saturday, of a two weekend Pearl City Industrial Park Beautification Project that will concentrate on the landscaping along Waihone Road near Waihone Place.
Pearl City Lions Club community volunteers were joined by members from the Mana Loa-Nimitz Lions Club on Saturday with the task of painting over graffiti on the Waihone Place Bridge as well as clearing the sidewalks and weed whacking the over grown weeds and brush along the roadway in the area.
Next week Saturday, August 24, several organizations and businesses which include; HPD, Hawaii National Guard, Aloha Shoyu, Hanson Foods etc., will team up with the Pearl City Lions and Mana Loa-Nimitz Lions to complete Phase 2 of the Pearl City Industrial Park Beautification Project. Volunteers will finish up cleaning the sidewalks, weed whacking, and painting over graffiti.
