Learn How to Care for Alzheimer’s Patients at Pearl City Library

"Managing Challenging Behaviors," a free program for adults who are caregivers for Alzheimer's patients, will be presented at Pearl City Public Library on Sunday, September 15 at 1 p.m. in the Adult Reading Section.

Pamela Scott-Yuen, Director of Programs for the Alzheimer's Association, Aloha Chapter in Hawaii, will discuss the challenges caregivers face while caring for a loved one who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.  Scott-Yuen will also share some strategies on how caregivers can cope while managing the care of Alzheimer's patients.

This program is geared for Baby Boomers who have become the primary caregivers of their elderly parents or relatives and will include a question-and-answer session.

Contact the Library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.
