OIA Cross Country takes to the hills in Pearl City

The Pearl City Chargers hosted Saturday's OIA Western Division Cross Country pre-season meet on the 3 mile hilly course that wrapped around and through the Pearl City High School campus.

Saturday's competition combined the varsity and junior varsity teams for both the boys and girls races.

Kalaheo's Makai Clemons was the top boy’s finisher with a time of 15:45.

Mililani’s Vanessa Roybal was the top girl’s finisher at 19:06. Maile Shigemasa finished behind Roybal with a time of 19:54.

Both Clemons and Roybal ran the fastest times on a 3-mile course this pre-season.

Teams representing the following schools competed on Saturday at Pearl City High School:

Roosevelt, Mililani, Kalaheo, Aiea, Kahuku, Kalaheo, Nanakuli, and host Pearl City
