Pearl City Lions join forces to bust graffiti in Waikiki

Sep 29, 2013 | PC Community

Community volunteers from the Pearl City Lions Club joined several other Hawaii District 50 Lions Clubs on Saturday to paint over graffiti at Kapiolani Blvd. and Kalakaua Blvd. in Waikiki and also near the on ramp to the H1 in Kaimuki.

The group of very dedicated Lions Club volunteers also painted "No Dumping"  stencils on the sidewalks near storm drains at the intersection of Kalakaua and Kapiolani and along the Ala Wai Canal on Ala Wai Blvd.

Students from McKinley High School's Leo Club also volunteered their time to beautify the designated Lions community project area by picking up rubbish and assisting in painting the storm drain stencils.

The Lions community work day project started at about 6:30am and wrapped up at about 9:30am.

Mahalo to all the Lions Clubs and McKinley High School's Leo Club that came together to volunteer their time to help improve the Waikiki community.

Great Job!
