Pearl City annual food drive this Satuday at Momilani Community Center

Nov 14, 2013 | PC Community

The Momilani Community Center will be accepting donations of canned food items or bags of rice on Saturday, November 16, during the annual Pearl City Food Drive that will benefit the Hawaii Food Bank.

The public can drop of their donations on Saturday from 9am – 11am. Community volunteers will be on hand at the Momilani Community Center to accept all donations.

This time of year, the Hawaii Food Bank's shelves are depleted, and are in need of the support and generosity from the community to re-stock the food bank with enough food to provide for Hawaii's needy.

Community volunteers Yumi Laney and Christina Laney-Wycheck from Kahala Associates are the driving force behind the annual Pearl City Food Drive and have partnered with the Pearl City Foundation to add the Momilani Community Center donation drop off zone to their food drive efforts.

Yumi and Christina, along with a core of volunteers, will also canvas our Pearl City neighborhoods on Saturday collecting food donations for the Hawaii Food Bank.

If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering on Saturday please contact Christina Laney- Wycheckat 808.282.1399.

The Momilani Community Center is located at 715 Hoomoana Street (intersection of Hoomoana Street and Komo Mai Drive).
