12 tons of snowy fun falls on Momilani Elementary School

Twelve tons of snow dropped on the Momilani Elementary School campus grounds Monday morning much to the delight of the school's student body and just in time for the annual "Snow Day". Grades K-6 got the opportunity to put on their winter clothes and climb and play on the massive mound of snow.

The snow was delivered to the school by B&C Trucking Company at 8:15am in the morning and dumped on the parking lot near the school cafeteria. Mr. Verne Santos, owner of B&C Trucking, generously donated the trucking service and 6 tons of snow. Momilani’s Hui O Momilani PTSO purchased an additional 6 tons of snow for the students to enjoy.

Momilani Elementary School Kindergarten students were the first to jump in the snow at around 8:30am.

Monday's Momilani "Snow Day" was the fourteenth year in a row that multiple tons of snow fell upon the school campus.
